Turbo 350 Kickdown Cable Leaking

Took it out tonight with the new. I am working on a 72 c10 with a 307 350 turbo combination. The area around the speedo cable fitting was damp so replaced the o ring there. The plastic cable mounts needs to be removed.

As an update checked the area around filler tube and kickdown cable dry. Does it seem pssible that it could be losing that much fluid from this location when the car isn t even running. It seems to leak a bunch of transmission fluid after setting for a period of time. This week i decided to put an end to this leaky madness. In japan especially in the city there are so many traffic lights and stop signs that the kickdown can actually be completely removed. Without the cable hooked up it felt like second gear starts and shifted soft.
